At GEMS we have several positions for such opportunities. Please read the following to see if this is
something you can help with.
1. We are presently experiencing a shortage of volunteers in the sorting and folding clothes on a regular basis. We also need people to help with sorting medical supplies, kitchen ware and items that we receive from time to time.

2. We are also looking for volunteers to work (part time) in the following areas:
a. Sewing and mending – the individual to fill this position needs to be someone who’s experienced with mending and fixing clothes.
b. Bicycle repairs – we are looking for a handyman or a mechanic who is able to overhaul and fix bicycles.
c. Office worker – we need an individual with computer skills to enter warehouse data into our computer system.
d. Contact person – we are looking for a contact person who will help us meet needs in the local community and can deliver clothing and other items to needy people such as the homeless in Langley, Surrey and also in places such as downtown Vancouver.
3. We need volunteers to help with loading and unloading of containers from time to time.
4. We need people to pray for us on a regular basis
